Glasgow Shopping Centre first to open quiet space for autistic people

St Enoch Centre in Glasgow has launched a dedicated space to support autistic people and their families, GlasgowLive reports. The centre has worked with Scottish Autism to assess the needs of autistic customers who often find shopping difficult due to sensory difficulties. The new room aims to provide a safe and calm environment where autistic people can take time out as well as those with learning difficulties and sensory conditions. Key members of staff have also received training in autism.
