Investigation into injuries caused by restraint in special schools

The BBC reports on an investigation into the number of injuries caused by physical restraining in special schools in England, Scotland and Wales. A Freedom of Information request found there were 731 injuries resulting from physical restraint in the past three years, but less than a fifth of local authorities held data about restraint used. The report features the case of an autistic boy in Dundee who received injuries after being restrained at his local school.
