Study explores SEND in secondary schools

NASEN are reporting on the publication of a study which explored the experiences of secondary school pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in England. The study, published by the Institute of Education at UCL and the Nuffield Foundation, compared the experiences of pupils with SEND with those without SEND, and identified a number of findings including an overreliance on teaching assistants. The report makes a number of recommendations for local authorities and schools.
