My name is Jeremi Korhonen and I am currently conducting research at the University of Glasgow exploring the ways in which individuals on the spectrum tend to experience, perceive and engage with emotions in music. I write to this group hoping to reach adolescent and adult individuals with an autism spectrum diagnosis who would be willing to complete the online experiment.
The experiment consists of simply listening to short clips of instrumental music, and answering some questions about their emotional contents. It has approval from the university ethics review committee, takes about 30 minutes to complete and can be done at any time in any relatively quiet setting. Any computer browser except Safari seems to work fine.
Thank you for reading this post, and I hope that you will help me by participating in the study (if you have an autism spectrum diagnosis), or by sharing this link with your networks. If you want to click on the link to see what the experiment is like that's also fine because your results will only be saved if you reach the end of the experiment.
Have a great day!
