Autism, ageing and masking

A personal blog by Sonia Boue, a late diagnosed autistic woman, explores her experiences and thoughts about masking and ageing. She discusses her own experience of ageing as an autistic woman with a recent diagnosis, alongside societal pressures for older women to remain youthful and energetic. Sonia examines her recent reluctance to mask and the negative responses she may experience when unmasking, but suggests that change in society is slowly happening.
