Autism research grant to study health outcomes

The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) at King's College London is leading a consortium which has won the largest autism research grant, according to an announcement in EurekAlert. The €115 million grant will be used to improve health outcomes and quality of life for autistic people, looking at why autistic people experience health difficulties and reduced life expectancy.  The grant, titled Autism Innovative Medicine Studies-2-Trials (AIMS-2-Trials), will also develop new therapies and provide an infrastructure for testing therapies.
