Alis Rowe' short animated film "A Day at Secondary School for The Girl with the Curly Hair" has been selected to be showcased at the Cannes Film Festival the Richmond and Twickenham Times reports. Alis is the founder of the Curly Hair Project, a social enterprise which aims to help autistic people and their families. The film is based on Alis who went through childhood not knowing she was autistic and without a diagnosis. The film aims to help viewers develop compassion, empathy and tolerance of someone who might be a bit different and understand that you can't always tell that someone is autistic.
