Concerns over speech and language therapy funding

The BBC reports on claims that there is wide variation in the provision of speech and language therapy (SLT) for children in England.  A new report by the Children’s Commissioner for England suggests that children face a postcode lottery in service provision – the funding for children with an identified varies between £291.65 and £30.94, depending on which area the child lives. The report also highlights concerns that spending on SLT is falling in many parts of the country.
