Study looks at how autistic adolescents use social media

University College London reports on a project which explored autistic adolescent’s use of social media, in particular the benefits and risks of using it. The piece discusses the key strands of community and control that emerged from the research, and looks at some of the policy implications arising from their findings. In addition the authors of the study have also created a rough guide on using social media for autistic adolescents and their parents, which is free to download.
