Welsh report finds young disabled people are “hidden”

The BBC examines the results of a new report from the Children’s Commissioner of Wales which explores the experiences of young people with learning disabilities, and those with a diagnosis of autism, during their transition to adulthood. The report finds that many young people and their families find it difficult to access support, and it makes nine recommendations to improve young people’s transition to adulthood. The article includes an interview with a young autistic person in Wales who is attending college with support from a local charity.
