Lack of autism training for nurses?

Onmedica reports that nurses are warning that autistic children are let down by the NHS because of inadequate staff training, community services cuts and a drop in the number of learning disability nursing posts.  Delegates at the recent Royal College of Nursing Children and Young People's Nursing Conference said that nursing staff need more training to support autistic children.

We'd be interested to hear if this is something that you have found in your practice? What training have your received in autism? Is lack of training affecting your work and how?

Many thanks
