Dimensions have launched the Learning Disability and Autism Leaders’ List awards for autistic people and/or those with a learning disability who are helping make things better for themselves and others.
They are looking for inspirational people who are making a positive difference under these categories:
- local communities
- sports, arts and entertainment
- policy, advocacy and the media
- work and education.
People can nominate themselves or can be nominated by others. All entries will be sent to a panel of judges who will choose 60 winners – these individuals will be featured in the Guardian newspaper and website, and the Dimensions website. Interviews with 10 handpicked individuals will also be featured on the Guardian too. Everyone who enters/is nominated will receive a certificate to celebrate their work.
For more information please visit the Learning Disability and Autism Leaders’ List awards information on the Dimensions website. Closing date for nominations is 27 August 2018.
