Professionals wanted for female autism study

Isobel Moore

Are you a professional working clinically in the UK with adults or children who have an autism diagnosis?

Do you have an interest in autism in women and girls?

I am researching how professionals talk about female autism from a Foucauldian Discourse Analysis (FDA) perspective.

A key source of data for my analysis will include  resources on female autism which professionals might suggest to patients / carers/ other professionals, and non-client specific written descriptions of female autism which might be used in clinical documents.

I would be grateful if you could either signpost me to materials on female autism you recommend, or if you would be willing to share anonymised generic text you might place in clinical reports when writing about female autism.

The data will be analysed to consider the different ways female autism is constructed and represented.

The project has been approved by the University of Leicester Psychology Research Ethics Committee.
