Building capacity research bulletin

Middletown Centre for Autism, partners of Network Autism, have produced accessible research summaries of topics of relevance to professionals working in the field of autism, in particular professionals working in education or with children and young people.

This issue reviews research into capacity building in autism. Capacity building refers to the process of fostering efficacy, confidence and capability in autistic people, their families, schools and communities. It contains summaries of ten articles from peer reviewed journals between 2011-2017, and gives implications for practice.

This is a special edition of the Research Bulletin that was prepared to complement the Centre’s second International Conference on 12 and 13 May 2017, commences with biographies and interviews with the Conference speakers:
