Interview with Gina Davies: Walking and talking autism

Gina Davies is a specialist Speech and Language Therapist who has developed practical intervention strategies for parents and professionals working with autistic children. Last year, Gina undertook a volunteer project, 'Walking and talking autism 2014,' in which she offered support to families with young autistic children whilst walking from Wells to Canterbury.

Gina kindly agreed to be interviewed for Network Autism when she attended the NAS Professional Conference in Harrogate in March this year. We asked Gina a series of questions; you can view the full interview or clips of the individual question clips below.

Individual question clips:

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself and your background in autism?

2. What inspired you to create the fantastic ‘Walking and Talking autism’ trip?

3. Can you tell us more about the aims of your trip?

4. What did you offer families with children with autism on your walking tour?

5. How do you think your tour benefitted the children?

6. What did you learn from this experience?
