Hi,

Is anyone aware of any services that provide any kind of support to women who either have a diagnosis of or ASD traits that are involved in the CJS or who are at risk of offending. Either in London or regional.

Many thanks

Hi Ali

I'm not sure if you've read the piece on our website about the work St Giles Trust have done in supporting autistic women in the criminal justice system? You can read it here

The Autism Services Directory lists details of autism-friendly services throughout the UK. Using Advanced Search allows you search using keywords such as criminal justice, which may bring up a service.

Finally, we have a group specifically for those interested in Criminal Justice and autism. Please feel free to join and post your enquiry in there, as one of the group's members may be aware of a service specifically for autistic females.

Many thanks,

Chris

Thanks, Chris. I was part of the ASD project when it launched but, unfortunately, the funding ended after 2 years.

I will join the group.

Thanks again

In Hampshire CRC and NPS we have a service that works with women who come through the CJS and are on probation.  Their Offender Managers refer to our service and they are then allocated an autism specialist.

Although we have not had many come to our attention over the last 5 years, they do get referred.

Regards,

Sandy
